Dr Webster Mavhu is the CeSHHAR Deputy Director. He holds a PhD in Social Science and Public Health from the University College London. He has a keen interest in adolescence and masculinities and leads the CeSHHAR ‘Masculities Research’ portfolio. In 2021 Dr Mavhu was promoted to Reader at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine; this is a joint appointment with CeSHHAR.
Dr Mavhu has considerable experience in HIV and SRH implementation research, including generating key evidence for scale-up of voluntary medical male circumcision regionally. His publications can be viewed on ( Research Gate ).
